WHY YOU SHOULD LEARN SPANISH?

There are many reasons that have put the Spanish language leading the ranking of the languages with greater potential for the coming years.

The Spanish language is with nearly 500 million speakers the second most widely spoken mother tongue after the Mandarin Chinese and it is placed before the English language, which has around 335 million speakers. On the other hand, despite the fact that it is true that English is the second most spoken language as a foreign language, we are seeing an increasing trend of the Spanish language as a second language. Actually, some studies suggest that in the future, learning Spanish as a foreign language will overtake English.

Nowadays, the Hispanic population of the United States is around 52 million. According to several research studies it is expected that by 2050 America will be the first Spanish-speaking country in the world.

Spanish is also the third most used language on the Internet. It is spoken in more than 20 countries, and it is an official language in many international organizations, such as the European Union Institutions or the United Nations.

Many of the 20 million students of Spanish as a foreign language that are enrolling different courses of Spanish today are aware of this increasing trend and therefore they have decided to study this language. It is for this reason that the demand for learning Spanish courses has almost doubled in the recent years and even a greater increase is expected in the future.

 WHO IS OPEN ROADS

Open Roads has been organizing English language courses since 1997. Until now, hundreds of primary and secondary students have been participating in our courses, most of them located in schools in England, Ireland, Malta, the United States and Canada.

From now on Open Roads introduces a new offer: courses for learning Spanish as a Foreign Language. A new training program aimed at high school students, aged between 12 and 17 years. These courses are developed in an excellent environment with amazing facilities, where students will feel as if they were at their own home. All of this justat 45 minutes from Valencia and Alicante. Our level courses are taught by a team of experienced and professional teachers.

We have an excellent accommodation: hotel stays in the best environment as well as stays in different Spanish families that are characterized by their cordiality.
